About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my page! I am Dr. Bonner Dobbs and I’m a licensed clinical psychologist. Since my training began in 2011, I have provided services in a wide range of environments: school districts, community mental health, substance abuse residential programs, prisons, inpatient crisis stabilization programs, indigenous health organizations, and most recently as the Assessment Director and Director of Clinical Training in a private practice. I have also taught psychology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2018.

With Ketchitnae Psychological Services, I conduct psychological evaluations, forensic evaluations, and provide individual therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults. I often provide evaluations for intellectual giftedness, evaluations of general intellectual and academic functioning, learning disabilities, psychodiagnostic evaluations to rule in/out various diagnoses (e.g. ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, etc.) and everything in between. Furthermore, I conduct forensic evaluations regarding a range of questions that might arise during legal proceedings.

I have training and experiencing treating a wide range of clients and presenting problems, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, relational issues, and numerous other concerns. Having practiced in rural Alaska, where I was often one of a few, if not the only service provider, I became comfortable altering my approach to work with various needs, difficulties, and the strengths you bring to the relationship.

I am passionate about helping each individual find the strengths they possess that will help them overcome whatever challenges they may be facing. I feel honored and blessed to play a small role in your journey, whether that’s providing ongoing care through therapy or helping you and your family answer the questions you’ve been asking through the assessment process.
